This is a great game. Totally recommend playing the others, even the reboot, if you get the chance... Except DMC2. That game is hot garbage.

OK think of the 3 characters as different difficulty modes V is Easy mode if you use him right you have to be constantly walking backwards or sideways to create distance between you and the demons so they can't hit V while he let's his pets do all the fighting for him Niro is Normal mode cus you have to get close to hit them with your sword and you can use his arm but cus he's so close to them there's more of a chance the demons hit you Dante is Hard mode cus he is the master and he is for master exbert DMC players he has to get close to demons so he will get hit easy like Niro But he doesn't have the arm to help him and he has 4 different fighting styles you are expected to switch between in the middle of battle cus each style gives you completely different fight moves set to the buttons and some demons are only weak to certain moves So you have to add constantly changing fighting styles in the middle of battle as 1 more thing to think about while playing as Dante And Dante always gets unique weapons from Bosses in these games so you are also expected to use the buttons to swich weapon in the middle of battle cus some demons are weak against certain weapons so like the fighting styles that's another thing you have to think about while playing as Dante
